2008 Jungle Safari Benefit Dinner

Jungle Safari

2008 Benefit Dinner

It was a jungle out there … but nothing

to be afraid of ….

On October 25, 2008, over 150 people gathered at the Renaissance  Denver Hotel to support the work of Sobriety House. The event’s theme was a Jungle  Safari! Beautiful decorations and plenty of costumes and other safari outfits set  the stage for a relaxing and fun time.

The evening started with a reception, silent auction and raffle in which a beautiful fresh water pearl necklace and earrings were the prize.

The Thomas G. Vessels Humanitarian Awards went to Energy  Outreach Colorado for their work with non-profits, including Sobriety House,

in  implementing energy conservation measures in their buildings.

A graduate of Sobriety House, Paul S., told his story of how drugs were ruining his life and how he found sobriety and recovery at Sobriety House. Paul has been sober for over seven years!

Prizes were awarded in various categories to attendees for costumes.

The main draw of the evening was the entertainment of Kevin Fitzgerald;

local veterinarian by day, stand-up comic by night.
