Sober Living

Sobriety House owns the Gaylord Apartments, which is used for sober living.  Gaylord consists of 13 one bedroom apartments.  Rent at Gaylord is substantially reduced for the Denver area.  Residents of Gaylord can live in the apartments for up to nine months.  The apartments are intended for single-occupancy only; no partners or children may live in Gaylord with a resident, but they are welcome to visit.

Unlike many sober living facilities that are bedrooms in large houses with communal spaces for kitchen, living room, etc., Gaylord is a completely independent living situation.  Sobriety House employs a live-in Gaylord Property Manager that lives onsite full-time.  This property manager runs the property, checks in on clients, and helps to promote a sense of community in the building.

Sober living at Gaylord is not available to anyone that has not been in a residential level of care with Sobriety House.  In order to apply to live at Gaylord, clients must complete a minimum of 60 days in the Transitional Residential Program (TRT)/Phase II.

Interested clients must speak with their counselor and fill out an application and budget.  The counselor will present the client’s application and information in a staff meeting where all staff may ask questions and then decide as a team if the applicant is a suitable fit for Gaylord.
